Teaching

OCN7043 Air-Sea Interaction: this undergraduate course introduces the student to physical climatology focusing on the interaction between the oceans and the atmosphere and the main modes of climate variability and change.

OCN7044 Ocean Dynamics: this undergraduate course introduces the student to geophysical fluid dynamics, including the concepts of mass and momentum conservation, Ekman theory, wind-driven ocean circulation models (Sverdrup, Stommel and Munk) and thermohaline circulation.

OCE4100-09 Ocean and Atmospheric Circulation in the South Atlantic: this graduate course covers the ocean circulation of the tropical and South Atlantic, its main modes of climate variability and its impacts on the climate of the adjacent continents.
